Another jail escapee back behind bars

In continuing a string of capturing fugitives running from the law, Knox County Sheriff’s Office has arrested yet another escaped inmate.

Carl Parks, 33 of Barbourville, ran off from work release with the Knox County Detention Center on April 10, while on detail in the Flat Lick area near Evergreen Road.

Following a tip as to his whereabouts, Parks was discovered Wednesday afternoon, May 10 in a cabin off Hwy. 225 near the Brush Creek area by Sgt. Carl Frith with the Sheriff’s office, and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center. Parks was previously serving time for non-payment of child support and was under a $5,000 release-on-payment bond.
