Coach Messer: “I knew we had a good team and a good chance of winning this tournament, and cannot be more proud of these four young ladies. Just six years ago they were introduced to the game of golf, and now, all the long days of year-round practice are starting to pay off.”
He goes on to say, “ This is the first team athletic State Championship in school history, and this is something that the school and community should be proud of. State titles are something that doesn’t come around very often. Our team goals for this season were to win the Class A state championship, region 9 and State Championship. We have achieved the first one, and if we continue to play well, the next two are possible.”
