Barbourville man arrested in search of suspicious vehicle

A Knox County man is behind bars after Laurel County Sheriff’s deputies began an investigation into a suspicious vehicle at a north Corbin gas station Monday morning and arrested two people on drug trafficking charges.

Tiffany P. Whitehead, 39, of Corbin and Charles C. Davidson, 54, of Barbourville were both arrested after deputies reported finding crystal methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia inside the car that had been reported stolen from a rental car company.

Deputy Gilbert Acciardo, the department’s public affairs officer, said Deputy Daniel Grigsby and Deputy Josh Morgan were on patrol in the area off of Exit 29 about 4:15 p.m. when they noticed a black 2018 Nissan Sentra parked near the gas station.
