With the smoker rolling out back, one of Barbourville’s most anticipated restaurants, Grateful Ed’s BBQ, is officially open for business.
As evident from the process that went into making his BBQ, owner Ed Frazier knows that a good product takes time, putting nearly two decades into perfecting his recipe.
“I started doing BBQ in 2000 just after graduating Union College. I began experimenting with sauces and rubs shortly after,” recalls Frazier. “It took about 10 years to really get both the sauce and the rub to complement each other the way I wanted. It’s been a fun process.”
