Barbourville Woman’s Study Club honors Child Abuse Prevention Month

The Barbourville Woman’s Study Club met with Mayor David Thompson at the Civil War Park on April 17 to place blue pinwheels in honor of National Child Abuse Prevention month. “We are a service organization and we do this to remind people that this is Child Abuse Prevention month,” said Claudia Greenwood, study club member. Those in attendance placed a total of 50 pinwheels at the park. Pictured are Judy Wilson and Ethel Stark placing blue pinwheels along the park’s main entrance.
