Bill Morris Campbell, age 73, of Plano, Texas, died Tuesday, April 10, 2018, at his home. He was the son of the late Doyle and Lucile Morris Campbell, born to them on July 18, 1944 in Wynnewood, Oklahoma.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Linda Ruth Campbell; his sister, Linda Campbell Bowden; and by his niece, Holly Lynn Bowden.
Bill is survived by his brother-in-law, Don Bowden of Keller, Texas; his niece, Donna Winborn and husband, Dennis of Plano, Texas; his nephew, Clay Bowden and wife, Cindy of Boyd, Texas; his six great nieces and nephews, his ten great-great nieces and nephews, a very special cousin, Esteva Bargo Asher and husband Jim of Keller, Texas, his special friends, Elaine and Dave Maltsberger, his two aunts, Nora H. Campbell of Artemus and Ruby P. Campbell of Barbourville; and a host of loving cousins, relatives and dear friends to mourn his passing.
After graduating college, Bill worked for Braniff Airlines and developed a love for travel. He then worked for and retired from Electronic Data Systems in the travel department. This past January would have been his fortieth trip to the beautiful islands of Hawaii. Traveling all over the world, Hawaii was still his favorite travel destination. He was a kind soul and will be missed by many.
Funeral services for Bill M. Campbell will be 1:00 PM, Friday, April 13, 2018, at East Barbourville Baptist Church with Rev. Josh Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Barbourville Cemetery.
Those serving as pallbearers will be Courtney Campbell, David Campbell, Ryan Campbell, Chad Imel, Chandler Bargo and Trey Phipps.
The Campbell family will receive friends at East Barbourville Baptist Church on Friday after 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
