Board recognizes Panthers’ success

Knox Central High School students and teachers were the stars at the May 17 special called Knox Board of Education meeting.

Board members took time before adopting the meeting agenda to showcase the Panthers’ talent and congratulate them for a successful school year. Among those recognized were the cheerleaders, both basketball teams, HOSA, YCC, Science Olympiad, DECA and students who competed and won in fishing and welding competitions.

“We celebrate the achievements of our athletes and academic students. We’re glad, here at the end of the year, to have the opportunity to celebrate all that they’ve done this school year,” said Frank Shelton, Director of Communications and System Governance with Knox County Public Schools.
