Bolton elected Dist. 5 Constable

Brandon BoltonWebWe have a winner!  It’s hours until the polls close, but Knox Clerk Mike Corey has declared Brandon Bolton to be the next constable for District 5 in Knox County.  Bolton was initially appointed to the position by Knox Judge Executive JM Hall when his father, who was elected constable, resigned. Bolton has served in that appointed capacity until this election. Since Bolton was unopposed in the race, Corey declared him the winner once the absentee ballots were counted.  Corey went on to say there have been “no problems” or interruptions in voting reported. He estimates over 3,000 votes will be cast today in Knox County.
