BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Union College head baseball coach Bart Osborne has announced the Bulldogs’ 2015 schedule. In all, Union are slated to play a 54-game schedule, with 36 of those contests set to be contested at Jerry W. Carey Stadium.
Things get underway for the Bulldogs in the month of February, a month in which they will play 15 of their 18 games on the month at home. The squad’s first series of the year will be a three-game set against Davenport (Mich.) on Feb 6-8.
Throughout the first month of the 2015 campaign, Union will play primarily out-of-conference games, only going to Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) on Feb. 18 and Asbury (Ky.) for a doubleheader on Feb. 24. The Bulldogs will host games against Asbury (Feb. 10), Concordia (Mich.) (Feb. 13-15), Spring Arbor (Mich.) (Feb. 20-21), and Shawnee State (Ohio) (Feb. 21-22) throughout the month.
Union ends the first month of the season with their Appalachian Athletic Conference season opener against St. Andrews (N.C.), as the Bulldogs host a doubleheader on Feb. 28, then a single nine inning contest on Mar. 1.
In March, Union plays 12 games at Jerry Carey Stadium, as the Bulldogs host Milligan (Tenn.) and Truett-McConnell (Ga.) in AAC weekend series’ at home. Union will go on the road in AAC play to Bluefield (Va.) and Montreat (N.C.) throughout the month as well. The Bulldogs will also play several out-of-conference games, including tilts at home with Lindsey Wilson (Mar. 4) and No. 8 Georgetown (Ky.) (Mar. 24).
The regular season ends in April for Union, as the Bulldogs host nine games at home. The 2015 schedule concludes with a three-game series against AAC-rival No. 23 Tennessee Wesleyan on Apr. 25-26, then an out-of-conference tilt versus Cumberlands (Ky.) on Apr. 29. All four games will be played in Barbourville.
The 2015 AAC Tournament will once again be played at Hunter Wright Stadium in Kingsport, Tennessee from May 5 to May 9.
