Bunch indicted for attempted murder

Brian Bunch, 38, of Barbourville, was formally indicted Friday, June 24 for the attempted murder of two women.

Bunch allegedly shot the two victims at a residence on Emmanuel Branch Road Monday, May 30. The victims survived but were in critical condition.

Bunch remains in the Knox County Detention Center under a $250,000 cash bond.

In other action, the Knox County Grand Jury returned the following indictments on Friday, June 24:

Jeffery Mills, 31, of Barbourville: First degree trafficking in a controlled substance and first degree persistent felony offender.

Dale McFarland, 36. Of Barbourville: First degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of a legend drug and second degree persistent felony offender.

Marlana McFarland, 29, of Barbourville: First degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of a legend drug and second degree persistent felony offender.

James Earl Patterson, 54, of New Salisbury IN: First degree possession of a controlled substance, first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, possession of drug paraphernalia and carrying a concealed deadly weapon.

Heather Boggs, 31, of Corbin: First degree possession of a controlled substance, first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first degree promoting contraband, public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, third degree possession of a controlled substance and first degree persistent felony offender.

Charles Disney, 30, of Gray: First degree possession of a controlled substance, first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, public intoxication, possession of drug paraphernalia, third degree possession of a controlled substance and second degree persistent felony offender.
