A Cannon man was arrested Tuesday on rape and assault charges.
Bobby Hill, 33, was arrested by KSP Trooper Chad Gregory on two arrest warrants sworn out by Gregory on Tuesday.
According to the first warrant, Hill was charged with first-degree rape by engaging in sexual intercourse with an adult victim by use of forcible compulsion.
In the second warrant, Hill is charged with second-degree assault for allegedly taking the victim to an area in Knox County against her will and assaulting her with his fist.
Hill also was charged with theft by unlawful taking and first-degree unlawful imprisonment.
As of the time of this post, no bond had been set.
