Corbin teen confesses to school threats

A Corbin teenager has confessed to calling in threats to harm students to the Knox County Board of Education last week.

Release from Kentucky State Police:

On November 15, 2017 at 12 p.m. KSP Detective Jake Wilson charged a 16 year old male juvenile from Corbin , Ky with terroristic threatening 2nd degree. The 16 year old juvenile placed a call into the Knox County Board of Education threatening harm to students within the school district last week. The juvenile attends Lynn Camp High school and gave a full confession to Det. Wilson.

KSP Post 10 Criminal Analyst was able to assist Det. Wilson by tracking down important evidence to the case.

Kentucky State Police Post 10 make it a priority to investigate threats toward any students or staff members thoroughly within our school districts.

Case is still under investigation by Det. Jake Wilson.
