Council to take action on 911 agreement

A Barbourville City Council regular meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on November 9 at City Hall.

At the meeting, council members will discuss and take action on the Knox County 911 Interlocal Agreement for the 2018 year.

This is a contract with the Knox County Fiscal Court to dispatch the fire department and police officers. This agreement was last unanimously renewed by City Council in December 2016 with no changes made to the existing contract.

Also on the agenda, council members will vote to make an appointment to the Barbourville Housing Authority, will approve the October 3 special called meeting minutes and all reports.
