Local physician, Dr. Kamran Hasni, will be recognized as the first Fellow of the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (FASDIN). Dr. Hasni will be honored as a distinguished member of the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology (ASDIN) who has made “exceptional contributions in the field of interventional nephrology.” According to their website, ASDIN was founded in 2000 to promote the proper use of new and existing procedures that improve the care of individuals suffering from kidney disease.
Dr. Hasni is also an Associate Professor of Medicine at the University of Kentucky. He graduated from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and completed his residency in internal medicine at Drexel University in Philadelphia, where he also completed his Fellowship in Nephrology. He has practiced throughout Southeastern Kentucky for the past 12 years Dr. Hasni will be recognized at the ASDIN 12th Annual Scientific Meeting in Phoenix, Arizona in February 2016 as a member of the FASDIN class of 2016.
