Mr. Earl Carmack, 86, of Bimble, passed away Tuesday afternoon, May 15, 2018 at his home. He was the son of the late Clark and Nollie Williamson Carmack born on August 23, 1931 at Hinkle.
Earl was a farmer and a member of the Beacon Baptist Church. He enjoyed hunting and faithfully served his country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.
On November 24, 1951, he united in marriage with Lela Merida and to this union four children were born.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Hobert Carmack.
Survivors include his loving wife of 63 years, Lela Carmack of Bimble; four children, Paul Carmack and wife, Gloria, Bobby Carmack and wife, Carol, Jerry Carmack and wife, Nancy, and Sandra Cecil and husband, Bobby, all of Bimble; a sister, Vernice Hammons of Lake City, FL; five grandchildren, Bobbie Joe Rice and husband, Bill, Tabathy Hubbard and husband, Jamie, Jason Carmack, Lalinda Daniels and husband, Jason, and Travis Carmack and wife, Dara; eight great grandchildren, Ethan Carmack, Kalyn Carmack, Morgan Hubbard, Brody Rice, Conner Carmack, Natalie Carmack, Lela Carmack and Josie Carmack; several nieces and nephews; among other loved ones and dear friends.
His funeral service was conducted in the chapel of the Knox Funeral Home Friday, May 18 at 2 P.M. with Rev. Dennis Chesnut and Rev. Ken Merida officiating. He was laid to rest in the Obie Mills Cemetery.
Casket bearers were Jason Carmack, Ethan Carmack, Travis Carmack, Bill Rice, Jamie Hubbard and Jason Daniels. Honorary bearers were E. C. Fields, Rev. Joe Jones, Rev. Kennon Roark, Rev. David Barnard, Pat Chesnut, Rev. David Mounce, Rev. Eli Broughton, Rev. Mickie Smith and Rev. Roy Vaughn.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Knox Funeral Home.
