East Barbourville Baptist Church honors veterans

East Barbourville Baptist held a ceremony Monday, Nov. 9, in honor of local veterans. Boy Scout Troop 529 led the congregation for the pledge of allegiance and presented the two WWII veterans in attendance with folded American flags, donated by Representative Jim Stewart.

Senator Robert Stivers made an appearance to thank the veterans for their service and to present each veteran with a citation in recognition of their service.

A meal was provided by The Senior Adults Living Triumphantly group (S.A.L.T.)
