Special to The Mountain Advocate
The Fine Arts Association of Southeastern Kentucky, Inc. presents Jason Coleman, Saturday, Oct. 24, 7:30 p.m. at Gatliff Chapel, University of the Cumberlands.
Floyd Cramer is unparalleled in his field – he is among the most celebrated and most recorded pianists of all time, known for his unique ³slip note² piano style.
In recognition of his achievements in the music world, in 2003, he was posthumously inducted into both the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Floyd¹s grandson, Jason Coleman, inherited his grandfather’s skill on the piano, performing with him on television and in concert at a young age. He carries on his grandfather’s legacy with recordings and a touring tribute concert, The Legacy of Floyd Cramer, sharing the piano arrangements and story of Cramer’s contributions to American music.
This show is co-sponsored by The Corbin Tourism and Convention Commission and Whitaker Bank.
Individual tickets for the show can be purchased for $30 at the door. Students can purchase tickets for $10.
