Members of the local Kentucky Education Association met in front of the courthouse on October 10 to invite leaders to an upcoming town hall meeting and address the looming pension issue that is impacting teachers. “We’re going to try to get as many as possible over to the annex on the seventeenth,” said Sharon Oxendine, Uniserv Director. “It’s not just our pension, it’s Knox County’s pension. We buy here, we live here, we stay here…It’s a promise to Knox County, too.”
The Pension Town Hall will be held October 17 at 6 p.m. in the Knox County Board of Education annex.
