BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Union College women’s swimmer Callie Harrigan (SR/Windsor, Canada) has been named the Appalachian Swimming Conference’s Women’s Swimmer of the Week for the period ending Nov. 17, the league announced Wednesday.
Harrigan paced the Bulldogs in a 154-73 win over Asbury (Ky.) and a 159-45 win over Bethel (Tenn.) on Nov. 15. Harrigan posted three NAIA “A” cut times in individual events and one in the 200-medley relay.
To start off the meet, Harrigan anchored the 200-medley relay in which the Bulldogs finished first with a time of 1:53.18.
On the individual side, Harrigan swept through her usual three events with wins in the 200-free (1:57.43), 50-free (24.78) and 100-free (53.89).
In the ASC top time rankings, Harrigan currently ranks atop the 50-free, 100-free and the 200-free.
The Bulldogs next meet will come on Saturday when they travel to NCAA DIII Transylvania (Ky.) for a 1 p.m. meet.
