Knox Central High School Football Coach Scott Russell hosted his annual summer football camp last week.

The campers worked on the basics with current Knox Central High School players. Drills such as passing, catching and blocking were stressed during the camp.

Eastern Kentucky University starting linebacker Jeffery Canady spoke to the campers on the last day of camp.

Canady stressed to the campers that in order to be a complete player they must take care of the class room first and foremost.

He also told the campers that “we all have physical limitations that cannot be controlled, but we can control our attitude and work ethic on and off the field.”

“The parts you can control will take you anywhere you want to go in the sport” added Canady.
