Knox Schools looks to improve on testing scores

“What we are focused on is continuous improvement,” said Frank Shelton, Knox County Public Schools’ Director of Communications and Governance. “We are focusing on critical standards.”

As the KCPS district reviews their most recent test scores, school officials have started looking toward the future for new ways they can improve.

One way the district plans to improve learning is to point out what they call “critical standards.” Each teacher will be required to pick out the most essential topics for their subject and focus their teaching on that.
