The Lynn Camp Lady Wildcats improved their overall record to 5-1 after three victories in a home tournament. The Wildcats defeated Pineville, Williamsburg and Barbourville while falling to Perry Central in the Bowman Memorial Tournament this past week.
The Wildcats first opponent, Perry Central, handed Lynn Camp their only loss of the season 42-49. Lynn Camp played even with Perry in a low scoring first half 18-18 with Brooklyn Bryant leading scorers with six points and Breanna White and Breanna Hollin each with four.
Perry jumped out to a seven point lead by the end of the third quarter 29-36 and held off the Wildcats in the fourth for a seven point victory at 42-49.
Bradi Coe and Breanna Hollin shot for 11 points each followed by eight from Brooklyn Bryant, five by Breanna White, Kesha Brock had four and Destiny Hill shot for three.
The Lady Wildcats second game saw Lynn Camp shoot for a 27 point victory over District rival Pineville 57-30. Bradi Coe shot for 17 points to lead all scorers followed by Breanna Hollin’s 16 and Brooklyn Bryant’s 11.
Lynn Camp notched their second victory of the tournament with a 48-21 victory over the Barbourville Lady Tigers. The Wildcats racked up a 30-11 half time lead behind strong performances from Brooklyn Bryant and Bradi Coe. Lynn Camp had seven players break into the scoring column with Breanna White scoring a game high 13 points.
The Lady Wildcats finished out the Bowman Classic with another convincing victory over Williamsburg on Monday night. The Wildcats out paced the Lady Jackets 57-36. Williamsburg took an early four point lead behind a three point play from Erin Maxey. The Lady Wildcats Breanna Hollin hit a three pointer from the left base line to give the Wildcats a 6-4 advantage. Lynn Camp never looked back posting a nine point advantage at the end of one quarter and a 23-13 score by half time. Brooklyn Bryant led the team with 15 points and six rebounds.
