LC Summer League: Bat Cats vs Bat Attitudes

The Lynn Camp Softball Summer League is two weeks into their season and are already seeing close competition and extreme talent from the young girls.

The league hosts three player pitch teams this summer: the Bat Cats, Bat Attitudes, and the Sluggers.

The Bat Cats and Bat Attitudes played each other on Friday, June 16, which ended with a Bat Cat 18-9 win in four innings.

By the end of the top of the first, the Bat Cats saw themselves up 4-0. The upheld the same effort on the defense with Jorja Carnes in the circle, allowing only one run before Amber Hubbs gets an out at first to call the inning.

After adding one run in the top of the second, Bat Attitudes came back to tie the game at five then take the lead 6-5 by the end of the second.

The Bat Cats brought themselves up, though, to add 13 runs. They kept Bat Attitudes to only four more runs by the end of the fourth inning, led by Madyson Roberts, who recorded the last three outs at the plate in the circle.
