A Keavy man spent Christmas in jail after a standard traffic stop resulted in several drug charges.
On Christmas Eve, Barbourville Police received a complaint that Aaron Trosper, 37, of Keavy, was smoking a suspected illegal substance at the Wildcat Market. Patrolman Chase Henson responded to the area and initiated a traffic stop due to Trosper’s license plate not being illuminated.
“The above [Trosper] had glassy eyes and slurred speech,” wrote Henson in the arrest citation. “[Trosper] advised there were no illegal substances inside his vehicle.”
