‘Tis the season of giving and one local business is embracing the idea.  The Ugly Mug Coffee House is collecting donations for the KCEOC Women’s Shelter.

“I really wanted to do something, but didn’t know who to donate to,” explained Kim Wagner, Owner of The Ugly Mug. “Then I remembered KCEOC’s Women’s Shelter, so I called them up. They were really excited and happy about the offer.”

The shelter asks for donations in the form of  hygiene products, feminine hygiene products, diapers and wipes, non-perishable food items, cleaning supplies, washing detergent, women’s clothing, shoes, socks, and household items. Wagner will continue to collect donations until December 18.

Wagner says she is happy to give back to her hometown, “I think it needs to start at home. There are more people in our community that need help than we realize.”
