The Wildcats found the score board in the third inning when LaKylla Medlin drove a 0-1 pitch to center field to score Becca Carter who was on first base to tie the game at 1-1. Lynn Camp scored three more runs in the third after Karley Rickett walked and Destiny Hill’s pop-up was mishandled by the Pineville defenders for a 4-1 advantage at the end of three innings.
Lynn Camp put up two more runs, one in the fifth and a run in the sixth. Karley Rickett connected on a 1-0 pitch to drive in Summer Berry in the fifth and Becca Carter hit for a double in the sixth to score Brandy Hall.
The Wildcats could not hold off Pineville in the bottom of the sixth giving up three runs to tie the game at 6-6 to force extra innings. Both teams held each other in check the next two innings until Pineville strung together two singles in the bottom of the ninth to score and hand Lynn Camp the 6-7 loss.
The Wildcats will be back in action on Apr. 29 at home against Lee County and again on Apr. 30 when they travel to Lincoln County. On May 1 they will travel to Barbourville for a 51st District game.
