A Barbourville man has received multiple charges after call to law enforcement on Monday.
At about 11:30 p.m. on Monday, July 4, Knox County Deputy Andrew Lawson received a complaint of a fight in progress at a residence on Hutton Road off Ky. 6 just north of Barbourville. When Deputy Lawson arrived, he observed Paul Disney, 51 of Barbourville, standing in the road in front of the residence yelling.
After conducting an investigation and talking with witnesses, Deputy Lawson was told that Disney had struck a man with a handgun and fired several shots toward him and four other victims.
Deputy Lawson arrested Disney, charging him with five counts of wanton endangerment – first degree; assault fourth degree and criminal trespass, second degree.
Deputy Lawson also recovered a handgun at the scene.
