During July and August, the Knox Historical Museum Corner will feature rare unpublished photographs from our county’s past.
This photograph shows an elderly couple feeding chickens in their backyard. Please take note the barn and the mountains in the background, the length of the woman’s apron, the gentleman’s brogans and his beard and the split rail fence on the right side of the photograph. This photo was given to the Knox Historical Museum several years ago, but the names of the people are unknown. This was probably taken around the early 1900’s judging by the style of clothing. If anyone knows the identity of this couple, please contact the Knox Historical Museum.
