Tanner Phipps was recently honored in Masontown, West Virginia with a national championship trophy in motorcycle racing. Phipps won the Grand National Cross Country Racing four stroke C Lites National Championship for the 2014 season.

The Grand National Cross Country series is one of the premier off-road racing series in the United States and consists of tracks across the country at a distance of 10-12 miles.

Each race lasts for two hours and the racers compete against each other for the most laps completed in the time limit.

Phipps took the title against 108 other racers winning events at the Moose Racing Mud Mucker in Bunnell, Florida, The Maxxis General in Washington, Georgia, The Dunlop Limestone 100 in Springville, Indiana, The Parts Unlimited Loretta Lynn’s GNCC in Hurricane Mills,TN, The John Penton GNCC in Millfield, OH, and the Mountain Ridge GNCC in Somerset, PA. Phipps also had three second place finishes in Union,SC, Masontown and Snowshoe, WV.
