Dozens of people visited the historic McNeil’s Crossing Farm Saturday to see how things were done in the pioneer days.
The first day of this year’s Pioneer Farm Days was a big success, and more events are planned for Sunday.
“This has been a beautiful day and we have had a good crowd,” said farm owner and event organizer David Cornett.
Cornett noted that several special events are planned for Sunday, including demonstrations of soap and apple butter making, rope making, rail splitting, shingle splitting and others.
A new event set for this year’s Sunday schedule is a long rifle shootout.
There is no admission to the event, and everyone is welcome.
