Kentucky State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating two men who forced their way into a home in the Gray community about 3 a.m. Monday.
Officials say two unknown males – who were only described as wearing boots — kicked in the door of a home on KY 1232 and assaulted the 45-year-old homeowner. The homeowner was then held at gunpoint and bound with duct tape and cords.
About an hour later, police say the homeowner freed himself and ran to a neighbor’s house to call 911. He was then transported to Baptist Health in Corbin where he was treated and released for minor injuries.
KSP reports that a firearm, TV, phone and several other items were stolen from the residence.
Police say no one else was inside the residence at the time of the break in.
Kentucky State Police is asking for the public’s assistance with any information on the robbery. Please call Post 10 Harlan at 606-573-3131.
