It took two Riley’s Wrecker Service flatbeds working in perfect unison to re-right a 24-foot pontoon on 25E Friday. According to Riley’s, a Nissan pickup out of Lexington was attempting to make a u-turn on US 25E near Bailey Hollow when the pontoon it was hauling overturned and broke free of the pickup’s tow hitch.
Traffic was held traffic back for about a half hour while the pontoon was righted, lifted onto one of the flatbeds and carried off.
No one was injured in the incident and no other vehicles were involved.
Knox County Sheriff’s Deputy Carl Frith and Kentucky State Police assisted at the scene.
