Primary election to set tone for November

In less than a week, voters across Knox County will decide the future leading into the November general election for many elected offices.

Beginning at 6 a.m. on Tuesday, May 22, polls will open across the county. Registered voters may vote as long as they are in line by 6 p.m. at their respective precinct. According to Knox County Clerk Mike Corey, anyone in line by 6 p.m. will be permitted to cast their vote. Anyone arriving after 6 p.m. will not be able to vote.

Live election night coverage will begin at 6 p.m. at mountainadvocate.com and on TV-4 in Barbourville. Local radio station, The Big One 106.3FM WRIL with Brian O’Brien will carry a live simulcast featuring well-known radio personalities Jimmy Chafin and John Knox Mills.
