On April 18, 2018 at approximately 7:15 am Knox County Deputy Claude Hudson received a report of a Knox County School bus was involved in a traffic crash on Spider Creek Road in Corbin. The bus was traveling south on Spider Creek Road and a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix was traveling north when they collided.
After conducting an investigation, Deputy Hudson determined that the Pontiac struck the right front tire of the school bus causing minor damage to left front fender of the car. The school bus was not damaged. There were no reported injuries to the forty-eight children on board that were enroute to Lynn Camp High and West Knox Elementary Schools. There were also no injuries reported to the driver and passenger inside the Pontiac.
No charges were filed.
