The Knox Central High School art program senior project is underway. This year’s senior project is to turn the art hallway into an art timeline. Seniors involved in this are Layla Burnett, Kristen Collins, Sadie Harris, Katlyn Riley and Peyton Barnhill. The art timeline will allow these students to study how and when these things occurred in art history. They will also learn new technical skills in painting, color theory in action and help them plan a composition. According art teacher of five years at Knox Central, Molly Shields, “ I wanted students to have ownership over their classroom and curriculum. Students get to choose what their interest are throughout time and work with me to plan the artwork.” This is what the inspiration for the project was based on.
