Several Bulldogs Rank High in ASC Top Times List

BARBOURVILLE, Ky. – Several members of the Union College men’s and women’s swimming teams are ranked high in the third Appalachian Swimming Conference top times list of the 2014-15 season, the conference announced Tuesday.

For the women, the Bulldog 200-medley squad currently has the second best mark in the conference at 1:53.12 in the Lindsey Wilson (Ky.) and Campbellsville (Ky.) meet. The Bulldog 400-free relay squad also ranks third in the conference with a 3:51.95 mark.

Individually, Callie Harrigan (SR/Windsor, Canada) is tied for first in the 50-free (24.59), first in the 100-free (53.89) and 200-free (1:57.43). Lara Kaufmann (SO/Schwerte, Germany) ranks fourth in the 1000-free (11:09.49) and fifth in the 500-free (5:18.43). Jule Stein(SO/Stuttgart, Germany) stands in second place in the 200-breast (2:29.48) and third in the 100-breast (1:09.72). Eliska Melicharova (SO/Upice, Czech Republic) ranks fifth in the 100-back with a time of 1:02.47.

On the men’s side, the Bulldog 400-free relay team currently ranks sixth in the conference with a time of 3:16.18.

Individually, Dalton Baxter (SO/Woodstock, Ga. ) and Bradley Moore (SO/Melbourne, Australia) lead the way for the Bulldog men. Baxter leads the way in the 1000-free with a 9:59.95 time while Moore ranks second with a time of 10:07.86. Baxter ranks fourth in the 500-free (4:47.75) while Moore ranks fifth (4:47.82). Baxter ranks third in the 1650-free with a time of 16:44.42 and Moore ranks sixth with a time of 17:10.82. Moore ranks fourth in the 200-back hitting the wall at 1:56.52. Baxter ranks sixth in the 200-free with a time of 1:46.48.

Nathan Lethbridge (FR/London, Canada) ranks second in the 50-free with a time of 21.52 set in the meet versus Lindsey Wilson and Campbellsville. He also ranks eighth in 100-free (48.24) and eighth in the 100-fly (53.68).
