Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith is reporting the following Enforcement Actions:

On Aug. 1, Deputy Mikey Ashurst responded to domestic violence complaint at a residence on Sunset Lane in Corbin. While at the residence, Deputy Ashurst observed two glass jars containing marijuana. Deputy Ashurst arrested Chris Bowen, age 43, of Corbin, charging him with Possession of Marijuana. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 2, Deputy Mikey Ashurst arrested Roy Rice, age 44, of Corbin, on two Knox County Bench warrants for failure to pay fines on DUI (2 counts), Possession of Alcohol Beverage Container in Motor Vehicle, No Insurance and License to be in Possession charges. Roy Rice was also wanted on a Whitley County Bench warrant for failure to pay fine on a No Insurance charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 4, Deputy Keith Liford arrested William Tucker, age 23, of Cannon, on a Knox County Arrest warrant for Receiving Stolen Property and a Knox County Bench warrant for violating bond conditions on Theft of Identity, Theft-Receipt of Stolen Credit Card, and Persistent Felony Offender charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 4, Deputies Claude Hudson and Jason Carmack received a complaint of an intoxicated female in the Papa John’s Pizza Parking Lot in Barbourville, KY. The deputies contacted and arrested Amanda Foley, age 27 and Derek Smith, age 36 both, of Barbourville, KY. They were charged with Public Intoxication. Amanda Foley and Derek Smith were also wanted on Knox County Arrest warranst for Receiving Stolen Property. They were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 4, Deputy Chad Wagner observed Amanda Kuskowski pull in to a residence on Elmore Way in Corbin where Deputies were seizing a Meth Lab. Deputy Wagner arrested Amanda Kuskowski, age 27, of Rockholds, charging her with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and Operating on Suspended License/DUI. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 5, Deputy Jason Carmack received a complaint of a man carrying things out of a residence on Gregory Branch in Artemus. When Deputy Carmack arrived he observed an intoxicated male outside the residence. Deputy Carmack arrested Jack Davis, age 35 of Bimble, charging him with Public Intoxication. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 6, Deputy Keith Liford was dispatched to a domestic violence complaint on Gregory Lane in Barbourville. After Deputy Liford arrived and conducted an investigation, he arrested Alston” Juice” Southwell, age 44, of Barbourville, charging him with Assault 4th Degree, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree and Possession of a Firearm by Convicted Felon. Deputy Liford also arrested Jacob Jones, age 23, of Barbourville, charging him with Public Intoxication and Possession of Controlled Substance 2nd Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 6, Deputy Claude Hudson answered a complaint of a non-responsive male on Valentine Branch Road in Cannon. Deputy Hudson observed Randy Stamper with the non-responsive male. Deputy Hudson arrested Randy Stamper, age 37 of Heidrick, charging him with Possession of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 6, Deputy Keith Liford arrested Leva Watkins, age 60, of London, on a Laurel County Bench warrant on a Probation Violation charge. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center

On Aug. 7, Deputy Chad Wagner stopped a vehicle driving erratic on US 25E in Gray. Deputy Wagner arrested the driver, Daniel Hallinburton, age 33, of Nicholasville, charging him with Operating Suspended/Revoked License, No/Expired Kentucky Registration Receipt and No Insurance, 2nd Offense. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 7, Deputy Mikey Sidney Wagner was called to the Corbin Police regarding a female who was the victim of a domestic violence. After Deputy Wagner conducted an investigation, he arrested Ronald Arnold, age 49, of Corbin, charging him with Assault 4th Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 7, Deputy Carl Frith arrested Gary Neal, age 36, of Corbin, on a Knox County Bench warrant for failure to pay fines. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 8, Deputy Claude Hudson arrested Amber Smith, age 25, of London , on a Knox County Arrest warrant for Assault 4th Degree and a Knox County Bench warrant for failure to pay fine on a Public Intoxication charge. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 8, Deputy Jason Carmack investigated a complaint of a female child being struck/sprinkled by falling shotgun pellets on Cimmaron Drive. As a result of his investigation, on Aug. 9, Deputy Carmack arrested Glenn Vaughn, age 68, of Barbourville, charging him with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 10, Deputy Claude Hudson arrested Brett Barrett, age 31, of Barbourville, for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. While Brett Barrett was being picked up on an order for removing an ankle bracelet, Deputy Hudson located a syringe in his pocket. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 11, Deputy Keith Liford executed a Knox County Arrest warrant on Brett Barrett for Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree and Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition Under $500.

On Aug. 10, Deputy Keith Liford investigated a traffic crash at the junction of US 25E and KY 3085 at Flat Lick, KY. As a result of his investigation, Deputy Liford arrested Michael Payne, age 20, of Flat Lick, charging him with Operating on Suspended/Revoked Operators License, Failure to Produce Insurance Card and Failure to Register Transfer of Motor Vehicle. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 10, Deputy Jason Carmack answered a complaint of a man knocking on a door of a residence in Brices Creek in the Stinking Creek area of Knox County. The man, Randy Burnett, age 44, of Flat Lick, was located and arrested at the Dollar Store in Flat Lick. He was charged with Public Intoxication and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Aug. 11, Deputy Keith Liford arrested Darrell Dezarn, age 41, of Barbourville, on two Knox County Bench warrants on Child Support charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center
