Knox County Sheriff Mike Smith is reporting the following Enforcement Actions:

On Nov. 1, 2015 Deputy Jason Carmack responded to a report of a vehicle being stopped at the Tobacco Stop in Barbourville for almost two hours. When Deputy Carmack checked the vehicle he discovered the driver was under the influence. Deputy Carmack arrested Sonya M. Sizemore, age 42 of Artemus charging her with DUI, No/Expired Operator License and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Nov. 3, 2015 Deputy Mikey Ashurst received a complaint of a vehicle driving recklessly on KY 229. Deputy Ashurst located the vehicle and observed it crossing back and forth over the centerline. Deputy Ashurst arrested the driver, Wendy Sizemore, age 36 of Lily charging her with Reckless Driving, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and Operating on DUI Suspended/Revoked License. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Nov. 3, 2015 Deputy Keith Liford responded to a report of a Shoplifter at the Dollar General Store in Flat Lick. When Deputy Liford arrived, the female suspect was in the parking lot in possession of the stolen items. Deputy Liford also determined she was extremely intoxicated. Claudetta Lovins, age 33 of Emmalena was arrested and charged with Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance and Theft by Unlawful Taking,/Shoplifting. After being placed inside the patrol car, Claudetta Lovins became unresponsive. Deputy Liford transported her to the Knox County Hospital E.R. where she was admitted.

On Nov. 3, 2015 Deputy Claude Hudson arrested Shawn Honeycutt, age 24 of Bimble on Knox County Bench warrant for failure to pay fines on Drug Paraphernalia charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Nov. 3, 2015 Deputy Claude Hudson conducted a traffic stop on KY 229 and arrested the driver, Kevin Taylor, age 32 of Flat Lick. Kevin Taylor was charged with Operating on Suspended/Revoked Operators License, Expired/No Registration Plates and No Insurance. Kevin Taylor was also wanted on a Bell County Bench for Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance charge. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Nov. 4, 2015 Deputy Mikey Ashurst arrested Kendra Hurley, age 26 of East Bernstadt on a 2012 and two 2013 Laurel County Bench warrants for failure to pay fines on No Registration Plates (3 counts), Failure to Wear Seat Belts (2 counts), Contempt of Court (3 counts) an other various traffic charges. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Nov. 4, 2015 Deputy Mikey Ashurst arrested Jeffery L. Elloitt, age 46 of Woodbine on two Whitley County Bench warrants for failure to appear on Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and on a Probation Violation charge. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Nov. 4, 2015 Deputy Chad Wagner received a complaint of an intoxicated man riding an ATV on Terrell Lane south of Barbourville. After locating the ATV, Deputy Wagner arrested the driver, Carl D. Hubbard, age 53 of Barbourville, charging him with Operating ATV on Roadway, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence and Operating on Suspended or Revoked Operator License. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Nov. 4, 2015 Deputy Chad Wagner arrested Travis Gray, age 35 of Flat Lick on Knox County Bench warrant for failure to appear on Possession of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree and Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Nov. 4, 2015 Deputy Keith Liford conducted a traffic stop on US 25E at Bailey Switch .Deputy Liford arrested the driver, Kristina Marie Rice, age 24 of Girdler charging her with Operating on Suspended/Revoked Operators License, Failure to Produce Insurance Card, Improper Registration Plates and No/Expired KY Registration Receipt. Kristina Rice was also wanted on four Knox County Bench Warrants for failure to apperar and failure to pat fines on Failure to Surrender Revoked Operators License, Operating on Suspended /Revoked Operators License, Failure to Produce Insurance Card and Obstructed Vision/Windshield. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Nov. 4, 2015 Deputy Keith Liford conducted a traffic stop on US 25E at Corbin. After determining the driver was intoxicated, Deputy Liford arrested Melisa Brown, age 46 of Girdler charging her with Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Failure to Produce Insurance Card, Improper Registration Plates and No/Expired KY Registration Receipt. Deputy Liford also arrested a passenger, Lisa Burkhart, age 51 of East Bernstadt charging her with Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance, They were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center

On Nov. 5, 2015 Deputy Keith Liford conducted a traffic stop on US 25E in Corbin. Deputy Liford arrested a passenger in the vehicle, Teddy Kirby, age 47 of Pittsburg For Public Intoxication and Possession of Controlled Substance 1st Degree. Teddy Kirby was also wanted on two Laurel County Bench warrants for failure to appear on Receiving Stolen Property and Bail Jumping 1st Degree charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Nov. 5, 2015 Deputy Chad Wagner stopped a vehicle on US 25E north of Barbourville after receiving a speeding vehicle complaint. Deputy Wagner arrested the driver, Johnny Brock, age 62 of Wallins Creek charging him with Operating on Suspended or Revoked License. Johnny Brock was also wanted on a Bell County Bench warrant for failure to appear on Speeding, Driving too Fast for Traffic Condition and Operating on Suspended or Revoked License charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Nov. 6, 2015 Deputy Keith Liford arrested Mickella D Scott, age 25 of Wollum on two Knox County Bench for failure to pay fines on Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance and Shoplifting charges. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Nov. 6, 2015 Deputy Keith Liford arrested Cody Mobley, age 24 of Corbin on a Knox County Bench for failure to pay fines on Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance and Prescription Controlled Substance not in Original Container charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On Nov. 7, 2015 Deputy Keith Liford arrested Michael Westerfield, age 23 of Woodbine on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Burglary 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief 1st Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
