Knox County Sheriff BadgeOn April 6, Deputy Carl Frith arrested David Jordon, 52, of Barbourville, on a Knox County Bench warrant for failure to pay fines on Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 7, Deputies Mikey Ashurst and Keith Liford received a call regarding the location, of stolen property from the theft, of a purse located at a residence on 2417 in the east Corbin area, of Knox County. After arriving at the residence and conducted an investigation, deputies were able to recover the victim’s driver’s license, medical card and social security card. Keresia Botner, 42, of Corbin was arrested and charged with Receiving Stolen Property Under $500. Keresia Botner was also wanted on a Shelby County Bench warrant for Bond Violation on charges, of Possession, of Controlled Substance 1st Degree/Methamphetamine and Possession, of Drug Paraphernalia. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 7, Deputy Keith Liford arrested Jeffery Taylor, 48, of Corbin, on three Jefferson County Bench warrants for failure to appear on Promoting Contraband 1st Degree, Receiving Stolen Property Under $500, Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition Under $500 and Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 7, Deputy Claude Hudson arrested Jeremy Ferrell, 30, of Walker, on two Knox County Bench warrants for failure to pay fines on Public Intoxication/Controlled Substance, Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence, Operating on Suspending or Revoked Operator License and other traffic charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 8, Deputy Keith Liford and Deputy Mikey Ashurst responded to a complaint, of a male subject jumping from a vehicle while it was in motion. The vehicle was located in the Dollar Store parking lot in Flat Lick. After conducting an investigation the deputies arrested Rhonda Hatcher, 51, of Columbia, charging her with Operating a Motor Vehicle Under the Influence 3rd Offense, Operating on Suspended License, Possession, of Controlled Substance 3rd Degree, Trafficking in a Controlled Substance and Possession, of Drug Paraphernalia. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

The passenger that jumped from the vehicle was cited for Public Intoxication. Paul Thorpe, 45, of Glens Fork, was transported to Knox County General Hospital by Knox EMS.

Along with the drugs, deputies also seized over $12,000 in cash.

On April 9, Deputy Claude Hudson arrested Charles Wombles, 30, of Heidrick, on a Knox County Arrest warrant for Harassing Communications. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 9, Deputy Keith Liford and Deputy Mikey Ashurst received a complaint, of a computer being stolen from the Knox County Hospital. The Deputies observed a male subject that matched the description, of the person who had taken the computer walking on Cumberland Ave in Barbourville. The man was identified as Christopher Mills, 33, of Barbourville. The deputies accompanied Christopher Mills to his residence on Allison Ave and recovered the stolen computer. Christopher Mills was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking Over $500 and lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 9, Deputy Keith Liford and Deputy Mikey Ashurst arrested Edward Brock, 35, of Corbin, on a Knox County Bench warrant for Alcohol Intoxication in a Public Place and Contempt, of Court. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 10, Deputy Keith Liford and Deputy Mikey Ashurst arrested Robert Crawford, 44, of Scalf, on a Knox County Bench warrant for failure to appear on Child Support charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 10, Deputy Keith Liford and Deputy Mikey Ashurst arrested Charles Baker, 34, of Barbourville, on a Knox County Bench warrant for failure to pay fines on Neglect charges. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 10, Deputy Keith Liford and Deputy Mikey Ashurst arrested Joe Stacy, 21, of Barbourville, on a Whitley County Domestic Violence Arrest warrant. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 10, Deputy Keith Liford and Deputy Mikey Ashurst arrested Jackie Peters, 33, of Artemus, on a Knox County Arrest warrant for Assault 4th Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 10, Deputy Drew Wilson arrested Kenneth Saunders, 30, of Hiedrick, after a traffic stop on the Corbin by-pass. Kenneth Saunders was charged with several traffic violations, resisting arrest. He was also wanted on a Knox County Arrest warrant for Criminal Mischief 1st Degree and Theft by Unlawful Taking Under $500.. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 11, Deputy Keith Liford and Deputy Mikey Ashurst arrested James Hensley, 39, of Corbin, on a Knox County Arrest warrant for Terroristic Threatening 3rd Degree. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 11, Deputy Keith Liford and Deputy Mikey Ashurst responded to a one-vehicle accident on 3439, 3 miles south, of Barbourville. The driver, Randy Roark, 45, of Barbourville, was arrested and charged with Operating a Motor vehicle Under the Influence 1st Offense. He was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 11, Deputy Drew Wilson received a complaint, of a female knocking on doors in the Caleb’s Creek area, of Girdler. Deputy Wilson located and arrested Helene Jones, 51, of Girdler, for Public Intoxication. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center

On April 11, Deputies Keith Liford and Mikey Ashurst arrested Teresa Black, 32, of Barbourville, on a Knox County Arrest Warrant for Theft by Deception/Cold Checks. She was also wanted on a Knox County Bench warrant for failure to pay fines on Failure to Maintain Required Insurance. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.

On April 12, Deputy Mikey Ashurst responded to a call, of a female causing a disturbance at a residence on Miller Hollow Road 10 miles south, of Barbourville. After investigating the complaint Deputy Ashurst arrested Beverly Barton, 28, of Williamsburg, charging her with Burglary 2nd Degree and Public Intoxication. Deputy Ashurst also arrested Joshua Hatfield, 32, Miller Hollow, Barbourville, charging him with Public Intoxication. They were lodged in the Knox County Detention Center

On April 12, Deputy Drew Wilson executed a Whitley County Bench warrant on Beverly Balton on a Whitley County Bench warrant for Giving Officer False Name or Address. She was lodged in the Knox County Detention Center.
