Standoff man asks for bond review, trial date moved

Clad in his Knox County Detention Center inmate clothes, David Ray Wilson, who has been incarcerated over one year, stood before Judge Michael Caperton in the Knox County Circuit Court on May 7 hoping to have his bond reviewed.

Joining Wilson’s team of attorneys, Sam Castle asked Judge Caperton to address many documents at the pretrial conference, including Wilson’s bond which is set at $65,000 cash and home incarceration.

“We have a jury trial scheduled for May 9. We’re not going to address bond with that scheduled,” said Judge Caperton.
