Annual Knox Farm Bureau Gathering Highlights Leadership, Community, and Future Growth

The annual Knox Farm Bureau Meeting began with a blessing led by Knox County Clerk, Mike Corey, and attendees were fed by Flying Pig BBQ, as Kentucky Farm Bureau President, Cloyce Hinkle, gave a special thanks to attendees for their appearance, and introducing speakers and members and contributors of the Kentucky Farm Bureau.

Mark Smith, Treasurer of Knox County Farm Bureau, introduced Kentucky State Representative Tom O’Dell Smith, who expressed appreciation for the Bureau, stating “I can tell you that they’re the golden standard when it comes to organizations."

Smith stated there is still a strong want and need for younger people to want to be involved with FFA, and encourages more to be involved.

Scott Payne, Knox County Farm Bureau Insurance Agency Manager, introduced and expressed gratitude to the Bureau officers, John Bays, Judith Hinkle, Mark Smith, Tammy Smith and Courtney Brindle and Matt Price, who could not be in attendance.

Farm Bureau Women’s Chair, Judith Hinkle, began the business portion of the meeting by reading the minutes from last year's annual meeting.

Tammy Smith, Farm Bureau Women’s Co-Chair, announced that the nomination committee had met and recommended Josh Ramsey, Donna Roark, Judith Hinkle and Mark Smith as board members for the year of 2025 through 2027.

The event commenced with raffle gifts for attendees.
