Communities affected as downed lines lead to hours-long power outage

A food service truck crashed into a utility pole along Cumberland Avenue on Friday, October 2 and in the process pulled several more poles down with it. No one was seriously injured in the incident, but the downed lines left a large swath of the area without electricity for several hours following the crash. Service outage stretched into the Artemus and Bimble communities throughout the evening, with service being fully restored by later that night.
