Owen Allen, age 71, of Manchester, Kentucky departed this life on Sunday, April 26, 2026, at his home.
Owen was born on April 8, 1955, Oneida, Kentucky, to the late Andy and Martha Wilson Allen. He was of the Holiness faith.
Along with his parents, Andy and Martha, Owen was also preceded in death by two brothers, Hershel Allen and Issac Allen, two sisters, Orvilla Sparks and Audrey Bryant, one granddaughter, Avery Allen and one son-in-law, Jerry Wayne Bowman.
Owen loved Deer hunting, Fishing, anything outdoors, going to church and singing from time to time, he was a member of Cool Springs Church.
Owen leaves behind is wife of 49 years, married July 3, 1976, Bessie Byrd Allen, three sons, Donnie Wayne Allen and wife Shannon, Clinton Allen and wife Pamela, David Allen and wife Tiffany, two daughters, Anna Bowman and Joann McWhorter and husband Jess, sixteen grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, two brothers, Stanley (Buck) Allen and wife Jerry and Freddie Allen, one sister, Phillis Hymes and husband Bud, along with other nieces and nephews, other family and friends to miss him and to mourn his passing.
Funeral services for Owen Allen will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 2:00 P.M., in the chapel of The Barbourville Funeral Home. Preacher Worm Johnson, Preacher Todd Hicks and Tommy Bishop will be officiating. Interment will follow in the Allen Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 12:00 P.M until the time of service at 2:00 P.M.
The family will serve as pallbearers.
