The final Knox Street Thunder of 2025 was a huge success with 237 vintage, modified and classic cars and trucks around Court Square. With live music by the Threez Enuff Band, beats by DJ John, amazing food and a fundraiser for Dance Blue by Barbourville Woman’s Study Club, the evening was a blast for the hundreds in attendance.
The big moment came when this year’s grand prize went to James Wheat of Barbourville. James won a 1990 GMT-400 Chevy Truck. He is shown above being congratulated by Knox County Clerk Mike Corey.
Knox Street Thunder recognized Barbourville Tourism, Epps Auto Parts, O’Reilly’s Auto Parts, Advance Auto, Walmart, Jeff Ketcham - candidate for Knox Co. Judge-Executive, and a special thanks to Darryl Rose and his family for helping make Knox Street Thunder possible, and Mike and Melissa Corey for making sure access to the Courthouse was available.
