Special to The Mountain Advocate

Enjoying food and fellowship at the GFWC Barbourville Study Club Christmas meeting were Barbara Black, Jane Blair, and Carolyn Congleton. The Club met for their annual Christmas meeting at the home of Mary Beth Jewell, Hwy. 229, Jarvis. Twenty members enjoyed potato soup, quiche, tossed salad, cookies, and candies prepared by hostess Mary Beth Jewell, Milton Dunaway, and Mary Alice Lay. Ladies made last minute plans for the annual Tour of Homes. Members were assigned to each home and business to assist with welcoming of the visitors. Poinsettias were given out to be taken to each host and hostess as a small token of appreciation. Yard signs were also distributed to better assist with directions. After the business was attended to, the group than enjoyed a Christmas gift exchange. Pictured are Study Club members Barbara Black, Jane Blair, and Carolyn Congleton.
