With the opening of SugarBunch, Barbourville’s newest boutique, locals now have convenient access to the trendiest of Los Angeles fashion.
The boutique is Knox County’s newest women’s clothing store, specializing in the trendiest styles. with sizes small through 3x and cater to women of all ages. Along with clothing, the store sales shoes, accessories and small gifts such as coffee mugs and journals.
For store owner Elizabeth Mills, the name has a special meaning.
“The name SugarBunch is from my papaw. That’s what he called me when I was a little girl,” explained Mills.
Mills said it has been her lifelong dream to open a women’s clothing store but being a Knox County native, wouldn’t settle on opening a store just anywhere.
“I wanted to stay here in Knox County. This is where I live, this is where my roots are, this is where I want my money to go,” continued Mills. “This was a dream of mine and we didn’t know if we would ever get to do it, my husband and I, and the Lord just kind of worked it out for us.”
To officially welcome the new boutique to Barbourville, the Knox County Chamber of Commerce met at the store on November 6 for a ribbon cutting ceremony. Community support has already been outstanding for the store as people lined around the building on November 4 for the store’s grand opening.
