The Laurel County Sheriff’s Department recovered a reported stolen utility trailer in Keavy Wednesday evening Jan. 14. The trailer had apparently been stolen from Cornett subdivision off Ward Cemetery road approximately six miles south of London recently.
The 5 x 14 utility trailer had apparently been sold to a buyer who was unaware that it had been stolen. The buyer saw a recent newscast reporting the recovery of two other trailers and the arrest of two subjects allegedly possessing and selling stolen trailers.
A total of six trailers had recently been reported as stolen to the Laurel County Sheriff’s office. Three of those trailers have now been recovered.
Deputies arrested Daniel Witt, 21, of London and Dylan Sutherland, 22, also of London.
Deputies are asking that if anyone has purchased a trailer from either of these individuals to contact the Laurel County Sheriff’s office at 606-864-6600 or 606-878-7000.
More charges are expected on these two subjects. Detective Josh Scott and Deputy Kyle Gray are continuing the investigation.
