Kentucky State Police and Knox Sheriff’s Department officers are still on the scene of a fatal shooting on Salt Gum Hollow Road at Stinking Creek.
The shooting occurred at around 5 a.m. this morning. The victim was taken to the Knox Hospital, where he was pronounced dead by Knox Coroner Mike Blevins.
According to KSP public information officer Shane Jacobs, the victim’s name has not been released, adding that no arrests have yet been made.
“We have a couple of people that we are looking at,” he said. “It is still too early in the investigation. We are trying to find out what happened here.”
A KSP Crime Scene Unit also was at the scene as of 10 a.m. Friday.
