A Girdler woman is behind bars after police say she stole and fraudulently used her mother’s debit card.
On April 27, a female victim came to the Knox County Sheriff’s Office and reported the theft of her debit card. After conducting an investigation, Knox County Deputy Claude Hudson learned that the stolen debit card had been used at several local locations, including to purchase a calling card for an inmate at the Clay County Detention Center. An investigation revealed that the call to the detention center to order the cards was made from the victim’s residence.
