Barbourville ARH Woman’s Auxiliary Shared Christmas Cheer Throughout the Hospital in December

Posted

In December, the Barbourville ARH Woman’s Auxiliary carried out its annual tradition of spreading holiday cheer by visiting every department in the hospital with Christmas greetings, handwritten cards, and festive platters filled with a variety of cookies.
Auxiliary members also visited patient rooms across the hospital. Each patient received a small vase holding a fresh‑cut flower — a thoughtful gesture meant to brighten their stay and remind them that the community was thinking of them during the holiday season.
“Our Auxiliary looks forward to this tradition every year,” said Judy Foley, President of the Barbourville ARH Woman’s Auxiliary. “We hope that a warm greeting, a sweet treat, or a fresh flower helped bring a little comfort and joy to both patients and staff.”
The December outreach was one of many ways the Woman’s Auxiliary supported Barbourville ARH Hospital throughout the year. The group continues to donate time, resources, and care to enhance the patient experience and strengthen the hospital’s connection to the community.
The Barbourville ARH Woman’s Auxiliary is a volunteer organization dedicated to supporting the mission of Barbourville ARH Hospital through service, fundraising, and community engagement. The Auxiliary works year‑round to improve the patient experience and foster strong community relationships.
